With marginal annotations in red ink, and thirteen lines of red ink notes and directions to the front cover in the same hand, beginning 'Tell Amis'... Publication date 'May 16/-' in blue ink in another hand. Apart from the ms. inscriptions, generally in very good condition. Formerly sold by Peter Harrington London, then part of Jon Gilbert's Ian Fleming archive. Amis' first venture into the world of James Bond. He also wrote the light-hearted 'Book of Bond' in 1965, and the first post-Fleming 007 novel 'Colonel Sun' (1968). Item #76260
