No proof copies were issued for any of his James Bond titles in the UK, and only a handful of proofs appear to have been produced in America, making this one of the most elusive Raymond Benson items. The proof includes errors and differences to the published hardback. Given by the author to his fellow Ian Fleming Foundation director David A. Reinhardt, who is named in the acknowledgements, p.[x]. Together with a typed letter from the publisher, enclosing this copy, signed by senior editor Tom Colgan, who is also named in the acknowledgements. Item #76148
