Publisher's red cloth with gilt illustrations to boards and gilt lettering to spine. Top edge gilt, with pink illustrated endpapers. Illustrated bookplate with attendant glue-stains to fly-leaf, stamped and hand-addressed in ink. Black ink gift inscription also to half-title, dated Christmas 1931. Toning to edges, with occasional brown marks to margins, and a heavy tobacco scent. Cloth toned to spine, with light general wear. Good. A sequel to the classic children's verse collection 'When We Were Very Young' (1924), where the legend of Pooh Bear first gestated. Item #74182
