Publisher's red cloth hardcovers blocked in green, illustrated dust-wrapper. Contents clean, slightly toned, no inscriptions, inside paper joint cracked, jacket with a few small chops to extremities. A very good copy. Kipling's chapters on his time in Calcutta, originally serialised in the Allahabad 'Pioneer' in 1888, together with other tales including 'At Vulcan's Forge', The Perils of The Pits' and 'In an Opium Factory'.
