Contents clean, neat ink note to margin of contents (dated 1890), contents a little shaked in the case, covers a little dusty and soiled. A very good copy. An early edition of a particularly scarce Mark Twain book, which was issued simultaneously in softcovers. Twain personally selected and edited these fifteen tales from their American serialisations; includes The New Crime, Lionizing Murderers, A Deception, The Legend of the Capitoline Venus and A Mysterious Visit.
