Single issue, magazine format in colour illustrated paper covers featuring a striking image of the Belgian detective in deep thought. Original price 1 shilling. Contents clean, creases to final to leaves, promotional insert still present at rear, covers show some handling with some rubs to extremities, creases to rear cover, some wear to spine. Very good. The scarce first appearance of this Hercule Poirot mystery with exclusive illustrations. One of only a handful of Christie stories published in The Strand during the 'thirties and 'forties, all of which are now highly sought after. Also one of just two issues with a cover illustration of Poirot. The story was later collected in book-form within 'The Regatta Mystery and other Stories' (USA, 1939), under the amended title 'Problem at Sea'. Item #72595
