In later nineteenth-century tan half calf, with raised bands, gilt titles to a black label, further gilt decoration to spine, and marbled paper over boards. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed, with marbled endpapers. Moderately toned and thumbed throughout, with an adhesive mark to upper margin of pp.18-19 of the first number. Crisp, bright examples of the blue paper covers, including a slip advertising 'Our Mutual Friend.' Armorial bookplate of J.A. Burnham, Jr. to front pastedown.
