Contemporary brown diced full calf, recently re-backed in matching calf, with gilt titles to red labels on spine. All edges and endpapers marbled. pp.172-183 misbound at the centre of the book, following p.100. Minor spotting, and some water marks to margins of plates, otherwise internally clean. Quite heavy wear to original boards, now restored to a robust, attractive condition. Very good. One of roughly 200 copies of the Subscribers' Edition, featuring nearly 100 extra pages of text.
