Publisher's red cloth lettered in black, illustrated dust-jacket priced at 8s 6d to front flap. Contents clean, no inscriptions, edges uniformly toned, bookstore stamp to free endpaper (The English Bookstore, Athens), covers clean and fresh. Jacket has some moderate wear with a few small nicks and frayed tears, some rubbing but no significant chips or defects. Remains a bright, presentable copy, much better than usually encountered and scarce thus. In our experience, this is the most elusive 1950's Christie title. Guests expecting a party game of murder at a country retreat are horrified to discover a real corpse, and another case for Miss Jane Marple ensues. Item #71754
