Publisher's maroon, green, black, red and black cloth respectively, with gilt titles to spines, and to uppers of volumes II and III. Black titles to 'Lyra's Oxford', with illustrated title label to upper. First three and final title with original dust-jackets, all being the correct issue and not price clipped; volume four not issued with a jacket. Nothern Lights is well-worn to binding and edges, with a new front free endpaper tipped-in, and an ink date-stamp to rear free endpaper; no blanks at rear. Jacket shows light general edge wear. Good. Other volumes fine or near-fine. Lyra's quest weaves fantasy, horror and the play of ideas into a truly great contemporary children's series. Item #71681
