An ex-library copy with expected reading wear, stamps mostly erased from title page (paper thinned), lacks free endpaper, two small stamps to edges, jacket is closed to fine, having been preserved in a protective sleeve. A scarce late hardcover, many of which went into the library system. Two retrospective Saint novellas set before the Second World War, based on original stories by Norman Walker and adapted by Charteris' long-term collaborator Fleming Lee. The project was supervised and edited by Leslie Charteris. Item #70652
