A fine book in crips, fine wrapper. Price-clipped as expected (for export). Inscribed copies are scarce. John Hearne (1926-1994), award-winning Jamaican novelist, wrote the chapter 'Landscape with Faces' (a play on Fleming's 'Seascape with Figures', ch.1, OHMSS). Morris Cargill (1914-2000), journalist, politician and author, wrote a chapter and edited the book. Both were friends of Ian Fleming and the pair co-wrote three spy novels about an imaginary Jamaican secret service, one of which is credited in the Oxford English Dictionary for the first use of the word "fuck" as a noun. Cargill appears as a character in two of Fleming's James Bond books. Item #68861
