With six wood engraved plates and a vignette title page. Publisher's red pictorial cloth, with titles and decoration in black and light blue to spine and upper. A large purple ink ownership to flyleaf, dated 1911. Toning to edges and occasional light spotting. Sunning to spine and moderate wear to cloth, with a few minor splash marks. Very good. Another one of Mr. Verne's forays into deep space, stuffed to the portholes with engraved plates depicting men in handlebar moustaches lurching about jungles on horseback and into orbit in a balloon. First published in French in 1877 and translated into English the same year. Item #61690
