With the cream dust-jacket, priced at 8/6 to spine. Quite heavy spotting and toning to edges. Light spotting to endpapers and preliminaries. Heavy toning and some spotting to jacket, with rubbing and chipping to edges, and split along some folds. Very good. Intended to be complimentary to 'A Drunk Man Looks at the Thistle' (1926), this long linked cycle of poems is named in response to a letter sent to the author by Prof. Lascelles Abercrombie remarking "You have a serpent in you which will eat up everything else."
