Filled with wood engravings by the author, as well as a steel-engraved frontispiece of Chepstow Castle by Bartlett and Cousen. In a mid-twentieth century library binding of brown quarter morocco with gilt titles and shelfmark to spine, and brown cloth over boards with a large blind library device to upper board. All edges tinted red. Library bookplate and barcode to front pastedown. Library stamp and other markings to verso of title page, and another stamp to preface. Some repairs to the hinges of several of the first leaves. Light even browning throughout. Good. Item #52875
