With a chromolithographic plate by the author facing every page of text. No 'Ltd.' to title page; endpapers match plate XV in Quinby. Publisher's brown paper-covered boards with white titles and bevelled square chromolithographic plate laid onto upper board. Presented in a brown quarter morocco clamshell, with raised bands, gilt titles to spine, and brown cloth over sides. Slight wear to board edges; a couple of chips from spine head and tail. Very good. Quinby does not give an American example of this title in her bibliography, simply noting that it was published in 1918 at 50 cents. Item #50609
