In contemporary speckled brown calf with raised bands and a faint gilt number '12' stamped to spine. Black ink ownership inscriptions to front pastedown, dated 1751 and 1914. Heavy outer wear, especially to spine and starting joints. Upper joint very weak indeed. Fair. A complex philosophical and political satire of the eighteenth century.
