Some spotting to prelims, bookplate of Wakefield Lodge to front pastedown, Binding has some light wear to extremities with some loss of the paper to the upper board and spine. Very good. A nice provenance with the bookplate of Wakefield Lodge the Northamptonshire seat of the 3rd Duke of Grafton, Augustus FitzRoy, who served as Prime Minister between 1768-1770 but was forced out of office due with growing challenges to British global dominance after victory in the Seven Years War in particular the failure to intervene of the French annexation of Corsica in 1769.
