Complete with all 167 copper engraved illustrations, including county and hundred maps, many being full page plates, a good number folding. Extra-illustrated with an engraving of Kent and Canterbury Hospital loose to p.570 of volume four, dated 1810. In recent tan half calf with gilt titles to red labels on spines and marbled boards. Armorial bookplates of the Kenfield branch (Kent) of the Thomson family to front pastedown of each volume. Folding county map to vol. I bound in following the subscribers' list, rather than facing the title page as per the plate list. Plate showing the Larkfield Hundred, vol. II, trimmed at lower fold. Ightham plate, vol. II, facing p.248 not p.250 as per plate list. Small damp patch to lower edge of vol. II. The North view of St Augustine's Abbey faces p.659, rather than p.660, as per plate list.
