Pictorial dust wrapper, designed by Christopher Macartney Filgate, shows a man running across a field in striking black and white, with titles to front cover and spine, and rear cover has a list of other suspense novelists published by Eyre and Spottiswoode; unprice-clipped, originally priced at 15s. Binding shows well, with minor shelfwear slight bumping to spine ends. Dust wrapper rubbed to front edge and spine ends. Internally clean and free from spotting. Author's signature appears with "All Good Wishes"to front free flyleaf, above bookplate "PLR, 33 Sloane Street, London SW1". Allan Prior is most famous for writing a string of popular TV shows, including contributions to Z-Cars, Howard's Way, and Blake's-7 amongst others. This is his first novel, a thriller built around a romani community and an escape from Dartmoor Prison. Item #43417
