[Taipei] Central Publishing Co., 1966. [Thriller] Taiwanese Pirated edition, first thus, bibliographer's copy. Octavo (19 x 14cm), pp.299; [1], blank. Bound in deep red/burgundy cloth hardcovers, titled in silver to the spine, with illustrated dust-wrapper. This copy follows/reproduces the first UK Jonathan edition, with an original jacket design. Cheap paper a little toned as usual, fragile jacket is remarkably good. These pirate editions from Taiwan rarely survive and are now extremely difficult to acquire. A Fleming curiosity, from the Ian Fleming Bibliographical Archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature and notes within). His comprehensive guide to the works of Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Item #76070
