[Taipei] Central Publishing Co., Late 1960s. [Thriller] Taiwanese Pirated edition, first thus. Octavo (19 x 14cm), pp.256. Text is a taken from the UK Cape first edition. Bound in jade green leather-effect hardcovers, titled in gilt to the spine, with an original two-tone jacket design using film art depicting Sean Connery as James Bond. Cheap paper toned as usual, fragile jacket with a chip at foot of front panel. These pirate editions from Taiwan rarely survive and are now extremely difficult to acquire. A Fleming curiosity.
