With many photogravure illustrations and wood engravings. Publisher's cyan cloth with black titles and decoration to spines and upper, picked out in gilt to spines. Red endpapers to first volume; all edges speckled red. Both volumes internally clean, with minor toning to endpapers. Some toning to spines, and light general wear to cloth. First volume not quite uniform, with irregular endpapers, and the date picked out in black ink to spine. Very good. Two stories from the Sherlock Holmes collection later published as 'His Last Bow' in 1917.
