Nesbit's childrens story 'The House of Arden, plus part of the Jacob's serial 'Salthaven'. Original issue magazine format, approx. 24 x 17cm, with pictorial covers, illustrated throughout. Contents clean, colour advert inserted before frontispiece, other advert inserts present at rear, covers are fresh, spine gently toned, small chip at foot, staples rusted. Near fine. This Churchill essay, which includes eight photographic illustrations (several of which were exclusive to The Strand) was later included in the book-form edition of 'My African Journey' (December 1908).
