Bound in full brown heavy grained faux leather featuring metal clasp, cornerpieces, centre medallion with skull motif, replica gemstones and emerald ribbon, ribbed spine, sewn headband and marbled endpapers. Protected in an embroidered velvet drawstring bag, housed in half-leather folding case, blocked in gilt and blind. The lid of the box includes a pocket containing a printed envelope with ten prints of J.K. Rowling's illustrations. Absolutely fine, in the original printed white card sleeve and outer Amazon carton (minor transit wear), with 'Collector's Edition' packing slip on purple paper. As complete as can be! Originally produced in a hand-made edition of only seven copies, each handwritten and illustrated by J. K. Rowling. One of these was sold to Amazon, via a prestigious Sotheby's auction in 2007. The price achieved, £1.95 million ($3 million, €2.7 million) is the highest realised for a modern literary manuscript. Proceeds benefited The Children's Voice charity campaign.
