Publisher's quarter vellum, green cloth over sides. Spine with gilt-lettered blue label and floral designs in gilt and red. Top edge gilt. Original bookmarking ribbon intact. Spotting to preliminaries and rear leaves. A few leaves still unopened. Gift inscription in black ink to flyleaf, dated 1914. Some rubbing to blue spine label. Gentle edgewear. Very good. A beautiful collection of Barrett-Browning's poems, and a small book-history gem; the imprint mentions Henry Frowde, who was OUP publisher from 1883 to 1913 and expanded its offices greatly, for example - by introducing the highly economical India paper to the bindery and overseeing the production of Oxford's Revised New Testament (1881).
