Publisher's blue cloth with gilt titles to spine, and gilt roundel illustration to upper. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. With the brown typographic dust-jacket, priced at 10/6. Inscribed in black ink to fly-leaf: 'To dearest Morag | a Christmas memento | from her beloved | grandfather | Granville Bantock | Christmas 1946' by Bantock's son Julian following the death of his father in the autumn of that year. Light toning to edges and endpapers, otherwise a nice clean copy, partially unopened. Sunning to cloth, corresponding to jacket losses. Jacket toned to spine, with wear and chipping to extremities, and quite a large loss to head of spine. Very good. A prose translation of the Ancient Greek classic by 'Lawrence of Arabia,' first published in a limited edition, and more widely in the US, in 1932. Item #65247
