Publisher's red cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper. Second Impression text printed on title page. Edges toned, some expected spotting to thick paper, cloth sound; a little sunned to backstrip. Very good indeed. The fourth and final full-length Sherlock Holmes novel, being a retrospective or 'flashback' adventure set in Pennsylvania, 1888. 'The Valley of Fear' is also notable for the involvement of Holmes' arch-nemesis Professor Moriarty. Item #63414
