Elegantly bound in deep red half crushed morocco, with raised bands, gilt titles to spine, matching buckram over boards, top edges gilt, with combed-marble endpapers. Binding is unsigned but finely produced in the 'West End' style, likely by Morrell or similar. A fine set, inside and out. 'This is not history; this is my case.' The author's most famous work continuing on from his earlier history of the First World War, 'The World Crisis'. The two together form, in Churchill's opinion, a comprehensive history of a second Thirty Years War. Item #61938
