Top edge gilt, others untrimmed, and green illustrated endpapers. Black ink ownership to half-title, dated 1922. Heavy toning to leaves facing endpapers, with a touch of spotting to preliminaries. Spine toned and rubbed, with a little wear to boards. Very good. A classic collection of poetry, ghost stories and legends that are mostly parodies or deliberately humorous. First printed in the Bentley's Miscellany and New Monthly magazines, and first published in book-form between 1840 and 1847. Item #61742
