With numerous in-text wood engravings after illustrations by Thomson, as well as a frontispiece. Contemporary light brown half crushed morocco, with raised bands, gilt titles and decoration to spine, and marbled paper over boards. Top edge gilt; marbled endpapers. A large illustrated bookplate to front pastedown. Moderate spotting throughout, and blue ink notes to blank leaf facing p.3. Spine sunned with some light wear and one large chip from the head.
