Slim octavo (23 x 15cm), pp.32, with plates bound at rear. Publisher's cloth in pictorial dust-wrapper. Black and white frontispiece of the author sitting at his easel, repeated on the cover of the wrapper, and eighteen colour plates printed on clay paper. No inscriptions or price-clipping (10/6); jacket edgeworn with some chips and tears. Very good. This copy belonged to Winston Churchill's housekeeper, Mrs Jean Kennedy, with her ownership inscription to the flyleaf. Her books were originally sold by Sotheby's, London. Item #61440
