Heavily trimmed for a recent binding in period style tan half calf, with raised bands, gilt titles to burgundy labels, and further gilt decoration to spines. Marbled paper over boards. Dates trimmed from title pages to volumes II and III. Captions also trimmed from many plates. Toning to edges; light spotting throughout. Scotch-tape repairs to plate facing p.73 in volume II; to frontispiece and title page of volume II; to frontispiece and title page of volume III; and to pp.v-viii and pp.1-22 of volume III.
