Publisher's blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper, and with a black and white cartoon laid over upper. A series of related blue ink inscriptions to front pastedown, explaining the original provenance of the signature, and a subsequent donation to The Queen Victoria's Rifle Museum in 1971. Rear hinge split but holding quite firmly. Moderate wear to boards, and quite heavy wear to spine, with some toning. Very good. A selection of Bairnsfather's famous cartoons about life in the trenches on the Western Front, originally published in 'The Bystander' magazine. Item #60564
