Some acceptable soiling to contents, title page of first volume with a paper scuff just above author's name, remargined. Bindings sunned to spines, gilt dulled. An inexpensive copy of the first edition. Mentioned in Bleiler; a gothic novel with an element of the supernatural (ghost of the nun in the attic).
