In a contemporary or slightly later library binding of brown quarter morocco, with gilt titles and shelf-mark to spine and brown textured cloth over boards. All edges speckled red. Lacking the frontispiece, pp.175/6 with the facing plate, and also the plate facing p.226. Some misfolding and tears to map. Light wear to binding. Fair. A marvellous first book, originally printed in Baghdad in 1932, by one of the greatest female travellers of the twentieth century. Item #60131
