Printed in Times New Roman on Tullis Russell 'Mellotex' paper. Number 26 of just 50 copies SIGNED by the author in blue ink to limitation page. Also INSCRIBED by the author in blue ink 'Mac from Alastair | July 1949' to fly-leaf, and with an autograph letter signed by the author, also in blue ink and addressed to 'Mac' to a roughly torn loose sheet of paper. With three woodcut illustrations by Sekalski, including a frontispiece. Publisher's plain paper covers titled to upper, sewn. Light wear and handling to covers. Near fine. The poet's first publication, made before he left his alma mater to teach Classics at Sarah Lawrence College in New York, and also before he met Robert Graves on a holiday to Mallorca in 1953.
