London: At The Cayme Press, 1928. [Witch Hunting] FIRST THUS. Small quarto (22 x 18cm), pp.62 . With a facsimile frontispiece taken from the original edition of 1647, a facsimile of the plate 'The Witch Swims!' and a facsimile of the original title page. Publisher's black paper covers with titles to a plain white label on the front cover. Fore and lower edges untrimmed. Some water staining and rippling to covers, and well as chipping to the rough edges. Associated spotting to endpapers and facing leaves. Very good. Fans of 'Good Omens' (1990) will be immediately familiar with the activities of Witch Finder Generals. For everyone else, he was responsible for the execution of over 100 suspected witches over just two or three years in East Anglia during the 1640's, and his book on the subject is believed to have inspired a generation of Witch-mania in New England following his early death.
