Presented in a smart black cloth chemise case, with gilt titles to spine. Gentle toning throughout. Moderate wear to cover; just starting towards spine tail. Very good. Published with the tag line: 'A James Bond thriller set in the world of dope smuggling and beautiful dangerous women – where the payment for information is human life.' This is the first American separate printing of this story, and also the first American illustrated appearance. Originally serialised in the Daily Express, and the sister newspaper the Scottish Daily Express, April 1960, and first published in the US as 'The Death Peddlers' in Male Annual magazine, Number 2, 1964.
