Publisher's red cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper, as well as a gilt monogram stamped to upper. Lower edge untrimmed. Rough erasure of a black ink ownership to fly-leaf. Toning to edges. Spine sunned and rubbed. Very good. A collection of fifteen essays, many of which had appeared serially in 'The Grand Magazine.' The last of Wells's quartet of books on the future of Socialism, preceded by 'Anticipations' (1901), 'Mankind in the Making' (1903), and 'A Modern Utopia' (1905). Item #59067
