Contemporary maroon full morocco, with gilt titles and heavy gilt decoration to spine, and equally heavy panelled gilt decoration to boards. All edges gilt; yellow-coated endpapers. Plain bookplate of Mrs. Edkins to front pastedown, and an abortive modern ink gift inscription to fly-leaf. Very light toning throughout, and equally light spotting to plates. Some offsetting or discolouration to rear endpapers. Binding rubbed to joints and corners, with heavier wear and pulling to head-cap. Joints starting towards head. A clean copy in an attractive contemporary binding. Very good. Item #58936
