Octavo (18 x 11cm), pp.iii-xviii; 287 [1]; pp.[4] 342; pp.[4] 319 [1]; pp.[4] 350. Contemporary brown quarter morocco (possibly an early publisher's binding), with gilt titles to spines, and marbled paper over boards. Lacking the half-title to volume I. One early gathering to volume I quite proud, with heavy wear to exposed edges. A clean copy with light spotting throughout, and a little rippling and mustiness. Heavy wear to bindings, with head-caps pulled away and damage to tail-caps. Spines toned; joints starting in places; corners bumped. Good. The final instalment of a large body of work broadly titled 'Early Lessons' (beginning in 1801), first published in 1825. Item #58833
