A dual language edition with images of the stone-classics, and translation and commentary, on facing leaves. Publisher's black cloth with yellow titles to spine. With the yellow dust-jacket showing a photograph of the stone tablets. A little toning to edges, with some rubbing and bumping to cloth. Bookseller's label to front pastedown. Jacket heavily reinforced with clear tape to spine and flap joints, to both obverse and reverse. Light soiling to jacket, with rubbing and chipping to edges. Good. Originally published in the USA in 1947, and then in India in 1949. This is an expanded edition (first published in the USA in 1951) with the original Chinese characters and a new introduction by Fang. Item #58210
