Publisher's maroon cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper. Black-coated endpapers; all edges untrimmed. Bookseller's label from Lang's hometown of Selkirk to front pastedown. A lovely clean copy internally, with heavy sunning to spine and staining to boards. Very good. One of Lang's early books on Folklore and Mythology, which led to the publication of his wife's famous Fairy Books, beginning with the Blue Fairy Book (1889). Item #58015
