Contemporary full speckled calf, with gilt titles to red morocco label on spine. All edges light yellow. Ownership label of Hugh de Poix to front pastedown. Spotting to endpapers and frontis. Heavy offsetting to pp.158-59 from related newspaper clippings, now loose to preliminaries; otherwise quite crisp and clean internally. Joints split with chipping from head and tail of spine. Lower board nearly detached. Moderate general wear, and bumping to corners. Good. Burke's famous treatise on Aesthetics, first published in 1757. Item #57933
