Rear adverts suggest the first year of publication 1884, but perhaps not the first issue, since the title 'Ride a-Cock Horse to Banbury Cross' is featured. A little light spotting and thumbing throughout. Heavy wear and chipping to spine; covers nearly detached. A little light chipping to other edges. Good. A verse invocation to lusty maypole dancing, including a veiled suggestion to afford musicians better pay and conditions. Item #57782
