Liberally illustrated in black and white throughout. Publisher's plain paper covers titled in red and navy to first three issues, and colour illustrated paper covers to second three; variously priced at 9d, 1s, 1/3, and 1/6. Presented in a navy quarter morocco felt-lined clamshell box, with raised bands and gilt titles to spine, and blue cloth over sides. Fairly light wear to earlier issues, with a little wear to heads and tails, and the expected browning to war economy-standard paper. Large losses to spine of December 1922 issue. Some light handling, creases and chips to all issues. Rare in the original paper covers, including some especially scarce issues. Very good. Containing all five parts of Doyle's 'Three of Them: Conversations with Children,' as well as two later stories 'Billy Bones' and 'The Forbidden Subject.' Also featuring three Wodehouse stories, and "Sapper's" 'The Film that was Never Shown.'. Item #57769
