With a half-tone photographic portrait of the author, and a facsimile reproduction of his bookplate. Contemporary blue half morocco by RAMAGE of London, with raised bands, gilt titles and decoration to spine, and a lighter blue cloth over boards. Top edge gilt; machine-marbled endpapers. Armorial bookplate of John Tennant to front pastedown. Toned to edges with a few spots, and a strong tobacco scent. Fairly light wear to binding; spine toned to a dark green colour. Very good.
