Handsomely bound in half brown polished morocco, gilt, by Trevor Lloyd M.B.E., with raised bands, extra gilt back, top edges gilt, marbled sides and endpapers. A tall copy with fore edges and tail edges untrimmed. Internally clean, exterior unmarked. A fine example of a particularly scarce triple-decker. 750 copies only. The story of Isabel Archer shows James at his witty and polished best.
