London: How and Parsons, 1842. [Poetry] FIRST EDITION. Octavo (20 x 13cm), pp.[4] vi; 145 [3]. Contemporary full calf, with faded gilt titles to spine. All edges speckled brown; brown endpapers. Lightly toned throughout, with some marks to preliminaries. Heavy rubbing and bumping to binding; head-cap pulled and gilt largely rubbed away. Good. An epic poem similar to 'Undine' (1811), also inspired by the Rosicrucian Romance 'Count de Gabalis' (1670). Item #56794
